Located on the Denton campus, this Emergency Operations Center was completed by our team in 2019. This project was designed for the Department of Emergency Management and Disaster Science. It's purpose is to simulate emergency responses and to aid in student's education of emergency preparedness under the nation's first and most respected undergraduate program in Emergency Administration and Planning. In addition to this lab, we were also tasked with updating a first floor suite for the department that consisted of graduate and full time workers.
The project scope included - abatement, structural demolition and remodeling of walls, ceiling and carpet, new electrical and data, lighting, signage and HVAC throughout the lab as well as professional cleaning and furniture move correlation. Additionally we were responsible for coordinating the installation of specialty Connectrac configurations and multiple hands-on site visits. 
My tasks included but were not limited to: design assistance, field verification, coordination and communication with the contractors, AutoCAD drawings and details, construction documents, furniture and cleaning coordination, work orders, invoice processing, balancing the budget, documentation and project close out. The project team consisted of Asia Short; Project Manager, Simone Chambers; Design Specialist and myself; Design Assistant.
